Tetiana Bersheda is the partner and founding member of BERSHEDA Avocats.  Admitted to the bar in Switzerland and qualified to practice law in Ukraine, she has significant legal experience in the area of international commercial transactions, international arbitration, the settlement of international disputes, corporate law, and bankruptcy and restructuring.

Tetiana Bersheda graduated magna cum laude in 2004 from the Law Faculty of the University of Fribourg, where three years later she also received a PhD summa cum laude.  During her studies, she spent significant time abroad, receiving an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2005 and a Master of Private International Law from the Institute of International Relations at the University of Kiev (Ukraine) in 2006.

Prior to forming Bersheda Avocats, Tetiana Bersheda has developed her professional expertise since 2005 while practicing with other leading Swiss law firms, notably Schellenberg Wittmer, Lévy Kaufmann-Kohler and Hornung Hovagemyan Avocats.  Her extensive experience in commercial arbitration also stems from having practiced with several international organizations and the Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, as well as assisting Prof. Pierre Tercier, the Honorary President of the Court of Arbitration of the ICC in Paris, and serving as a secretary for arbitral tribunals in connection with arbitrations under the rules of various institutions.

In addition to her legal practice, Tetiana Bersheda has published and lectured extensively, notably in the fields of international arbitration and commercial law.

Tetiana Bersheda speaks English, French, Russian, and Ukrainian, and has working knowledge of German and Spanish.
